Program Description:
UWG students who identify a program sponsored by an outside institution must seek approval from the Office of Education Abroad office to participate in the program prior to application.

Students who wish to participate in a program through another university will need to complete the paperwork to make them transient students at the other campus for the duration of the program.

Students who are interested in opportunities not sponsored by universities must consult with both OEA and their major advisor to determine whether independent study credit would be appropriate. These requests will be evaluated on a case by case basis based on the academic content of the program and the relevance of the project to a student's academic discipline.

Students who have received approval for one of the above programs may apply for scholarship funds by visiting studyabroad.westga.edu/?go=UWGScholarship and clicking the Apply Now button to start an application. Students who have not received such approval are not eligible for scholarship support.
