Program Description:
Wasdin International Scholarship

The Wasdin International Scholarship is designed to provide financial support for a student participating in a credit-bearing study abroad program. Applicants must be:
  • active in their campus community (including involvement in activities such as sports, cultural events, student government, social or service groups),
  • have at least a 3.0 GPA,
  • be at least a second semester sophomore and
  • be planning to study abroad in Europe, Central America or South America.
Applicants must complete the online application, including a one-page essay explaining their choice of program and how the scholarship will help them achieve their goals, and request a letter of reference from a faculty member in their college or school (for instance, a major advisor or a favorite professor from a class in the student's field of study). All application materials must be received by the application deadline for candidates to be considered for this award.

Students may not receive a Wolves Abroad Grant and this award in the same academic cycle. Students may apply for the Wasdin International Scholarship and for UWG's general Education Abroad Scholarship program, but may only receive an award from one of these programs in a given term. Thus, the student selected for this award will not be able to receive additional funding from the general Education Abroad fund, although they may still be eligible for departmental or external awards.

Award Amount: $3750
