Student Exchange program at University of Tours, France
Study in Tours, the capital of the Touraine region in the Loire River Valley, land of castles and chateaus. Just one hour from Paris by speed train, Tours is the perfect place to settle in for a semester or two and steep yourself in the rich history, language, and culture of France. With a pedestrian-friendly city center, a majestic Gothic cathedral, sidewalk cafes and the beautiful Loire River, Tours is a great option for students who want to improve their French and expand their horizons. UWG students can take classes in the following fields:
  • French language and translation
  • English-taught classes in Global Studies, Political Science, History, Literature and Geosciences
  • a broad range of discipline-specific courses in French.
  • For more information on available courses, students can search the exchange student catalog here: http://cces.univ-tours.fr/?language=EN . The course listing can be viewed in either French or English, and students can specify the language of instruction when searching.

Students interested in studying abroad for a semester should select that semester when opening an application and then choose Single Semester within the questionnaire.
Students interested in studying abroad for an academic year should select the semester when they would like to start and then choose Academic Year within the questionnaire.

Interested in applying for an Education Abroad Scholarship? 
Deadline for Education Abroad Scholarship applications is the same as your program deadline since it is embedded in the application (last question).

Funding from University of Tours: The University of Tours has scholarship funding available for one student from UWG who is applying for Fall 2018 or Spring 2019. The selected student will receive 500 euros/month for the semester when he or she is abroad; please note that this funding is only available for one semester, even if the student is planning to study abroad for a year. If you are interested in applying for this funding, please indicate that on your application for this program. You will need to submit a 500 word essay indicating what you think you would gain from a semester-long program in Tours.
